The Role
We are seeking a talented and versatile Content Copywriter to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the voice of our company, crafting compelling, clear, and consistent messages across a wide range of platforms. You will tell the stories and support our program operations through persuasive and informative writing. Content Copywriter Key Responsibilities
Marketing Collateral: Develop engaging copy for collateral, promotional flyers, brochures, postcards, and event materials that inspire action and support.
Digital Presence: Write and edit website content, email marketing campaigns, and e-newsletters to effectively communicate our mission, impact, and needs to various audiences.
Operational Manuals: Create clear, concise, and easy-to-understand copy for internal manuals and program documentation to support the organization's operations.
Storytelling: Interview veterans, volunteers and staff to capture and write compelling success stories and testimonials that highlight the impact of our programs.
Brand Voice: Ensure all written materials adhere to our companies’ brand voice, style guidelines, and mission statement, maintaining a consistent and empathetic tone.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing communications and programs teams to develop content strategies and ensure all communications meet organizational goals.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience: 5-7 years of professional writing and copywriting experience, preferably within a non-profit, or related field.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing experience in writing for a variety of mediums, including collateral, websites, emails, and procedural/manual documentation.
Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt writing style to suit different audiences (veterans, donors, volunteers, staff) and communication channels.
Passion: A genuine passion for supporting U.S. veterans and the mission of our company.
Organization: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace); experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms is a plus.
