The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing digital marketing efforts that drive performance, alignment, and measurable impact across the organization.
As part of the Performance Marketing team, this role is responsible for connecting digital strategy to execution by overseeing page publishing, guiding integrated digital campaigns, and ensuring consistency across channels, platforms, and teams.
This role manages and develops a team of Digital Marketing Managers, with a strong emphasis on coaching, education, and capability-building to continuously elevate digital expertise across the team.
The Senior Manager works closely with partners in Performance Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Content and Creative, and Marketing Technology and Operations to translate campaign goals into effective digital experiences and ensure campaigns are executed efficiently, accurately, and at scale.
This role requires strong strategic thinking, people leadership, and the ability to connect complex digital initiatives across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
People Leadership & Team Development
Lead, manage, and develop a team of Digital Marketing Managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and ongoing education
Strengthen digital marketing capabilities and support career growth through performance management, feedback, and skill development
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Digital Strategy Oversight & Campaign Alignment
Oversee execution of digital marketing strategy across campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives, performance goals, and digital touchpoints
Translate integrated marketing and performance campaign strategies into clear digital requirements, workflows, and execution plans
Ensure consistent implementation of digital campaigns across channels and platforms
Digital Publishing Governance & Experience Quality
Guide and oversee page publishing efforts, ensuring digital content is accurate, optimized, on-brand, and aligned with campaign strategy
Establish and enforce best practices for user experience, accessibility, performance, and content structure
Maintain governance standards to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance across digital experiences
Cross-Functional Partnership & Alignment
Serve as a key connector across Performance Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Content and Creative, and Marketing Technology and Operations teams
Align digital efforts, timelines, and priorities across teams to ensure seamless execution
Act as a strategic advisor and escalation point for digital execution challenges
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
Partner with Marketing Technology and Operations to improve processes, tools, and workflows related to digital publishing, campaign execution, and optimization
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of digital marketing operations
Support adoption of new tools, capabilities, and ways of working
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Monitor performance and execution quality across digital campaigns and experiences
Use data and insights to inform recommendations, optimization priorities, and continuous improvement efforts
Ensure learnings are shared and applied across teams to drive ongoing performance gains
Additional Duties as Assigned
Travel: Less than 10% of the time may be required
Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Experience in lieu of degree may be taken into consideration
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing strategy, or related roles
With 3+ years of people management experience, including coaching and developing marketing professionals
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated experience translating marketing strategy into effective digital execution
Strong understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including web experience, SEO, content optimization, and campaign integration
Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across multiple marketing disciplines
Ability to connect data, insights, and strategy to execution and recommendations
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: Experience leading and developing digital marketing teams in a large or complex organization
Experience working across performance marketing, integrated marketing, content, creative, and marketing technology functions
Experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency in digital marketing environments
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (preferred)
Strong understanding of digital campaign strategy, web publishing, and cross-channel execution
Familiarity with enterprise CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms
