Overview This position focuses on podcast and video content, marketing campaign strategy, and engagement analytics. The associate will be responsible for the firm’s podcast revamp, as well as social video production, creative ad drafting, and outreach to partners and media.
Responsibilities Video Production & Content Creation
Capture and edit long-form and short-form video content for internal and external use.
Manage editing of podcast episodes (audio + video) using
Adobe Premiere Pro
and
Adobe Audition .
Develop scripts and visual storyboards for content aligned with brand messaging.
Handle setup and breakdown of video shoots, including lighting and audio.
Maintain and organize a content library of video assets.
Coordinate filming schedules with attorneys, leadership, and vendors.
Podcast Production
Lead the production of the firm’s podcast, from guest coordination to final edits.
Operate multi-camera and audio setups during recording sessions.
Repurpose podcast content into social and internal communications snippets.
Studio booking and setup coordination.
Event Planning (Internal & External)
Own full lifecycle of firm-hosted events (FLAR Fair, CLEs, team outings, expos).
Coordinate logistics, venues, vendors, materials, timelines, and staff roles.
Provide on-site support and content capture at all events.
Maintain event checklists, run-of-show docs, and planning templates.
Internal & External Communications
Draft internal announcements and event reminders in Slack or email.
Liaise with partners, community orgs, and legal associations.
Provide clear updates on event and content deliverables to the DCM.
Equipment Management & Technical Skills
Operate DSLR and mirrorless cameras (e.g., Canon, Sony, Nikon).
Set up lighting rigs (softboxes, LEDs, reflectors) and troubleshoot on-site.
Use audio mixers, microphones, and podcasting tools during shoots.
Maintain inventory of media gear and ensure all equipment is charged, stored, and logged.
Other Responsibilities
Oversee design of branded decks, blog headers, and video templates.
Optimize firm’s presence on legal directories, GMB, and community calendars.
Monitor online reviews, coordinating appropriate follow-ups with leadership.
Qualifications/Skills
2+ years of videography and editing experience (required).
2+ years of event planning or logistics coordination.
Strong experience with
Adobe Premiere Pro ,
Adobe Audition ,
After Effects , and Canva.
Demonstrated ability to manage long-form video and podcast projects.
Experience with cameras (DSLR/mirrorless), lenses, lighting setups.
Excellent organization, communication, and scheduling abilities.
Reliable local transportation; ability to attend local events and travel to venues.
Preferred Experience
Experience managing event budgets and timelines.
Background in professional services, legal marketing, nonprofit, or mission-driven orgs.
Familiarity with scripting, interviewing, and storytelling for professional audiences.
Portfolio or demo reel required (links must be submitted with application).
Location Based in Troy, MI for in office work about 3 days a week & attending events when needed.
Compensation $23-$28/hour ~ $47,000-$58,000 Salary

technically strong event & video producer
with the ability to work closely with executive leadership and support fast-paced initiatives.
