We’re hiring a Lead Employee Residence Night Coordinator to Live. Work. Explore. at the south rim of the Grand Canyon!
Job Summary To oversee the employee resident coordinators, provide cleaning services, cleaning, maintenance, and enforcement of company policy in assigned housing areas.
The Details Position Type: Full‑Time, Year‑Round
Pay: $18.45 per hour
Schedule: 3pm – 12am (subject to change). Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
Oversee the work of the night residence coordinators, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and input on job performance and evaluations.
Oversee and clean employee housing facilities and areas, including but not limited to dormitory rooms, employee cabins, apartments, houses, vacant trailer sites, washrooms, laundry rooms, hallways, storage rooms, porches & entryways, common areas, and maintain grounds in assigned areas.
Serve as the primary liaison between the employee residence attendant and high levels of management.
Provide training in procedures and best practices to maintain consistency in daily tasks.
Provide guidance and direction in resolving more complex or sensitive resident issues or conflicts.
Lead or coordinate special projects related to resident housing programs.
Oversee and provide transportation services to employees and assist with moving furnishings, employee belongings, and disposing of trash as needed.
Check in new arrivals following the proper check‑in process, including greeting new employees; completing check‑in paperwork, giving them a tour of the grounds and facilities, and explaining house rules to them when the resident coordinator is not available.
Foster a positive community among residents. Create engagement activities at the residential units.
Adhere to all safety, risk management policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment while performing tasks.
Inspect individual rooms, cabins, trailer sites or apartments as residents move or terminate employment to ensure the space is clean and free of damage.
Turnover vacant units as soon as possible to prepare for the next resident.
Responsible for checking other residential units and ensure employee housing policies and procedures are adhered to.
Conduct pre‑arrival room inspection process and complete turnover checklist.
Respond to lock‑out requests.
Report maintenance problems and other needed work in employee housing facilities including paint requests, carpet cleaning, etc.
Submit requests for supplies through the Resident Administrative Assistant.
Contact Fire & Security and/or National Park Service Rangers as necessary for medical and/or security situations.
Follow necessary steps to support Fire & Security during fire alarm sounds.
Adherence and enforce employee housing policies and procedures including quiet hours are adhered to by all residents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently and tactfully interact with a diverse group of people.
Possess or obtain a valid Arizona’s Driver’s License within 30 days of hire and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
Ability to recognize maintenance and safety related hazards.
Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must have the willingness to work varied hours including nights and weekends.
Must be able to perform outside tasks under adverse weather conditions including wet and icy surfaces.
Must have a good attitude, good judgment, flexibility and diplomacy.
Physical Requirements Constantly: Stand, bend, lift/carry up to 10lbs, push/pull up to 12lbs.
Frequently: Walk, handle, reach, lift/carry up to 20lbs.
Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, lift/carry over 100lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs.
