The Team Members We’re Looking For We’re looking for a Receiving Clerk who will complete Account Receivable duties, interact with Corporate Accounts Payable, and coordinate and follow up on all inbound schedules.
For this role, you want to dress warm!
You would be working in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34°F. The work surfaces and floors may be wet and you would be working around different types of chemicals. There is a lot going on, like moving machinery, including conveyors and forklifts that are in operation in the immediate area, so noise levels are high. And we’ve got you covered! Safety is ALWAYS first, so we have protocols and protective equipment to help you be able to get the job done.
As a Receiving Clerk, these are some of the things you’d do during the course of the day:
Account Receivable duties.
Interact with California Accounts Payable.
Coordinate and follow up on all inbound schedules.
Work with daily inventories.
Work with raw product yield.
Work with Excel spreadsheets creation, data input, and reporting.
Process Cull System Dump.
Stay in communication with Salinas and Soledad.
Process Month-end closing.
Maintain consistent supply of raw materials to all areas of the plant.
Filing
Coordinating receiving activities with other departments as necessary.
Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management.
Must be able to work on the weekend.
Employee must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP’s related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)
Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities
Support special projects and other duties as assigned
Required Skills What You’ll Need to Start
1-2 Years of Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience in a food processing environment helpful but not required - we will train
A great work ethic
A team player attitude
Required Experience What You’ll Need to Do This Work
Good communication skills
Good time management
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment
Ability to interact well with co-workers
Ability to work in a wet and cool environment with an average temperature of 34° FAbility to work in a noisy environment with moving machinery, (e.g., conveyors and forklifts)
Ability to work in the presence of chemicals (e.g., chlorine and concealed ammonia)
Ability to reach, bend, stoop and carry out repetitive hand movements
Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
Must be able to work on surfaces and floors that may be wet
Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance
Must have the ability to work shifts that include weekends and work overtime when needed
Must have knowledge of inventory, receiving and inbound packages.
Qualified candidates will have excellent computer and math skills (i.e., Excel, Word, Windows applications).
Forklift license is required.
