H&H is offering an exciting opportunity for a Structural Designer to join our growing team in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office, focusing on movable bridge design and inspection. Responsibilities

• Create structure drawings using CAD software.
• Perform structural design calculations (beam, reinforced concrete, and steel structures) and develop sketches, computer modeling, and related technical work.
• Develop contract plans, special provisions, and engineers estimates.
• Assist with field inspections and condition assessments of bridges and other structures.
• Research design options, codes, and discuss findings with the project manager.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters is optional).
• Zero to two years of relevant experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain it within one year.
• Experience with analytical software such as SAP, CSI Bridge, LARSA 4D, etc.
• Experience with CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, responsible, and strong work ethic.
• Familiarity with inspection, design, and construction of bridges or other structures.
