Social & Video Content Producer (Part-Time, Remote + Field) Happenings Media is seeking a part-time Social & Video Content Producer to support our growing editorial and client content initiatives. This role is suited for an experienced professional with strong video production and social content expertise who can work independently while collaborating across teams. The position is remote with a flexible schedule, but requires regular local, on-site availability for shoots and events. Happenings Media is a regional lifestyle media company serving Bucks County, Montgomery County, Philadelphia, and Hunterdon County. We create editorial and client content that highlights the people, places, and businesses shaping our communities. We are hiring a part-time Social & Video Content Producer to help grow our social channels, support client work, and produce high-quality video content in the field. This is a hands‑on, hybrid role. You must be able to plan content, shoot and edit video, write captions, and directly manage and publish posts across social platforms. Candidates should be comfortable owning both the creative production and the day‑to‑day social execution. This role is remote, but local availability for regular on‑site shoots is required. What You'll Do Create social‑first content, including Reels, TikToks, Stories, and static posts Produce both editorial and client‑related social content, managing a number of social channels Shoot short‑ and long‑form video for editorial features and client work (editing negotiable) Capture b‑roll, interviews, and event footage on location Create visual assets to support articles, campaigns, and social posts Develop and manage social content calendars Publish and schedule posts across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms Stay on top of social trends and viral formats while maintaining brand voice Adapt content formats and posting cadence based on performance and trends What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in social content creation, videography, and editing Strong portfolio showcasing video and visual work Experience shooting with DSLR or mirrorless cameras with own equipment Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok content formats Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects, and communicaticating proactively with remote team Available for regular local shoots (events, businesses, features) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Nice to Have Experience with lifestyle, media, or client‑facing brands Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects Edit video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and web Motion graphics experience Familiarity with performance metrics and optimization Experience with Asana project management software Part‑time (approx. 20–25 hours per week) Remote, with regular field work Contractor or part‑time employee (based on fit) Competitive hourly pay based on experience To apply, please submit your resume, portfolio, and one existing piece of content you’ve created that you feel reflects your creative voice.
