In this role, you will lead and support Andurils global import and customs brokerage strategy to ensure compliant, cost-effective, and scalable operations across U.S., EMEA, APAC, and other global regions. This role is critical to supporting Andurils defense manufacturing supply chain, ensuring compliance with U.S. and foreign customs regimes, and enabling the smooth movement of mission-critical hardware, technology, and components./ppWhat Youll Do/ppCustoms Compliance Brokerage Oversight/ppServe as the primary liaison with U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) and global customs authorities./ppOversee all import brokerage operations, including HTS classification, customs entry, valuation, country of origin, and admissibility reviews./ppManage Power of Attorney (POA) relationships with customs brokers, ensuring governance and standardized SOPs across regions./ppEnsure compliance with defense-specific import and export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, DFARS, CTPAT, and other U.S. and allied-nation security trade controls./ppGlobal Trade Strategy Governance/ppDevelop and maintain Andurils global import governance program, including policies, audit protocols, and internal training./ppLead and support trade lane risk assessments, duty mitigation strategies (FTA utilization, duty drawback, tariff engineering, etc.)./ppMonitor regulatory changes (e.g., Section 301/232 tariffs, USMCA, UK-EU trade rules) and advise leadership on business impact./ppVendor Network Management/ppManage global customs brokerage vendors and assess their performance, SLAs, and compliance./ppBuild a standardized vendor engagement model for imports across all operating regions./ppCross-Functional Collaboration/ppPartner with Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, Legal, Engineering, Finance, and Program teams to align import compliance with operational goals./ppProvide expert trade compliance guidance during sourcing decisions and supplier onboarding./ppSupport major defense programs requiring temporary imports (ATA Carnet, testing, exhibitions, defense tenders)./ppReport import KPIs, trade risks, and savings initiatives to senior leadership./ppRequired Qualifications/ppBachelors degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (masters preferred)./pp8-12+ years in global trade compliance, import operations, or customs brokerage management./ppStrong knowledge of U.S. and global customs regimes./ppStrong working knowledge of Incoterms (FOB, DDP, EXW, CIF, CPT, etc.), tariff mitigation strategies, and bonded warehouse/FTZ programs./ppProven experience managing global brokerage networks and 3PL/4PL partnerships./ppExcellent leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills./ppExcellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills./ppStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy, while ensuring regulatory compliance./ppExcellent communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, and all levels of management./ppEligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance./ppAbility to travel up to 20%./ppPreferred Qualifications/ppLicensed U.S. Customs Broker strongly preferred./ppExperience in defense, aerospace, or high-technology manufacturing environments is a plus./ppExperience in manufacturing supply chains is a plus/ppSix Sigma certification or Lean training preferred/ppUS Salary Range $146,000 - $194,000 USD/ppThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
