Our employees are not only part of history, theyre making history./ppThe selected candidate will become a Principal / Sr. Principal Civil/Structural Design Engineer on the Infrastructure Design Team (INF). This role supports the design, modeling, and integration efforts for Civil/Structural elements for Sentinel Launch Facilities, or Test Facilities. This role will be located in Roy, UT./ppSpecific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:/pulliResponsible for overseeing and coordinating civil/structural systems design for the Sentinel infrastructure and facilities./liliSubject matter expert supporting the design of high complexity civil/structural systems, including structural steel design drawings, concrete forming, steel structures, and reinforcing design drawings./liliReview structural design/selection/engineering for modularized fabrication./liliInterpret and verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables./liliParticipate in project design/model reviews./liliReview subcontractors design product quality/accuracy by reviewing civil/structural designs and validating that current standards are applied and integrated into the design solution./liliSupport the delivery of Civil/Structural facility design Technical Data Packages, Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts./liliSupporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues/liliDeveloping and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline./liliIdentifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities./liliDeveloping and maturing Civil/Structural facility designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations./li/ulpAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:/pulliMedical, Dental Vision coverage/lili401k/liliEducational Assistance/liliLife Insurance/liliEmployee Assistance Programs Work/Life Solutions/liliPaid Time Off/liliHealth Wellness Resources/liliEmployee Discounts/li/ulpThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off./ppBasic Qualifications:/pulliPrincipal Mechanical Engineer: Bachelors degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 5 years of experience; or Masters degree with 3 years of experience/liliSr. Principal Mechanical Engineer: Bachelors degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 8 years of experience; or Masters degree with 6 years of experience/li/ulpBoth Level Qualifications:/pulliMust be a U.S. Citizen and with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance/liliMust be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance/liliExperience in one or more of the following: Civil/Structural, Mechanical, electrical design on MILCON or major infrastructure/building projects./liliKnowledge of engineering deliverables, such as drawings and construction specifications./liliKnowledge of one or more of the following: American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Building Code (IBC) Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and MIL-STD codes and standards./liliKnowledge of construction materials and construction details and techniques./liliExperience with Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications, and be able to use the Internet as an information gathering and communications tool./liliExcellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts to both Government and corporate leadership/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliProficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter/liliStructural Engineering (SE) License with any state./liliActive DoD Secret security clearance with the most recent investigation completed in the last 5 years/liliMust be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction/li/ulpPrimary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
