Base Pay Range
$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Our client is seeking a Commercial Division 7 Estimator or Senior Estimator to support and grow their commercial construction and specialty trades portfolio throughout the DC metro area.
This role plays a key part in preconstruction and estimating, supporting a steady pipeline of public-sector and institutional projects.
Our client is an award-winning commercial contractor focused on public-sector and institutional work throughout the Washington, DC area. They are known for their expertise in General Contracting, Roofing, Waterproofing, and Building Envelope construction, and for consistently delivering high-quality work on complex projects.
The organization employs approximately 60 team members, including 14 office-based staff, and generates roughly $25 million in annual revenue. They have maintained CBE and MWAA certifications for over 25 years, demonstrating long-standing experience working within public-sector environments.

Description
- Roofing

- Building envelope scopes
- Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing, and scope analysis
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Review drawings, specifications, and addenda for completeness and risk
- Participate in bid strategy, pricing reviews, and value engineering
- Maintain organized estimate documentation and historical cost data
- Support preconstruction handoff to operations teams
- Mentor and oversee a junior estimator
Profile
- Background with a general contractor or specialty contractor
- Comfortable estimating projects from $500K-$10M
- Experience with public-sector or institutional work preferred
- Strong understanding of roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume bid environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience mentoring junior staff is a plus
