Job Description
Seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented
Tax Preparer
to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys helping individuals and businesses navigate tax compliance while identifying opportunities for accuracy and savings.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals and small businesses
Review client financial information, tax documents, and prior-year returns
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current tax laws
Identify potential deductions, credits, and tax‑saving opportunities
Communicate clearly with clients to gather missing information and explain results
Maintain strict confidentiality of client information
Stay up to date with tax law changes and filing requirements
Support e‑filing processes and respond to basic client tax questions
Qualifications
Previous experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns required
Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
Familiarity with tax software and electronic filing systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple returns and meet deadlines during peak tax season
PTIN required (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
Preferred (Not Required)
EA, CTEC, or other tax‑related certification
