SUMMARY The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s networks, systems, and data against cybersecurity threats. This role involves identifying and correcting security vulnerabilities, monitoring system activities for suspicious behavior, and implementing security measures and policies. The Cybersecurity Analyst collaborates closely with IT teams to build and maintain a robust security posture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Threat Management
Monitor security logs, events, and assessments to detect threats and respond accordingly.
Conduct vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
Analyze security incidents and breaches to determine root cause and recommend mitigation strategies.
Security Operations
Maintain and upgrade security measures, policies, and controls.
Manage and/or monitor endpoint security, intrusion prevention, SEIM, MDM, MFA, NAC, forensic, and other security tools.
Ensure security tools are updated and tuned.
Compliance and Reporting
Write security reports, incident analysis, assist in policy creation, incident response plans and playbooks, training programs, and other security related documents.
Develop and enforce data classification and retention policies.
Continuous Improvement
Stay current on emerging cybersecurity technologies and best practices.
Proactively identify areas to improve the organization’s security posture.
Engage in ethical hacking to identify potential system weaknesses.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to lead training sessions.
