Under the supervision of the HR Manager, the E‑Learning/Instructional Designer will focus on developing and editing online learning materials and content. This can include assessing learning needs and the audience, and analyzing existing instructional material needs such as lesson plans, lesson content, learning objectives and assessment tools. In addition when needed they will be responsible for the redesigning of courses, developing entire courses or curriculums and creating training materials, such as teaching manuals and student guides with the goal to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. In addition, this position will collaborate with the Senior HR Training Specialist to align and reach all training goals. Required

Experience designing and developing e‑learning content, including how to use systems and technological tools. Experience using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 and/or Adobe Captivate. Experience working with a company’s proprietary Learning Management System (LMS). Ability to write effective copy, and write scripts for audiovisual media. Ability to storyboard. Exposure and knowledge of photography, video and audio production. Knowledge of Instructional Design, Simulation‑based training, Course Design, Organizational Development, Adult Learning Theory, Learning Strategies and Development, and Quality Assurance Testing. High attention to detail. Understanding of varied learning styles. Knowledge of assessment and evaluation methods. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced English reading, writing, and speaking in a business environment. Intermediate‑to‑Advanced Spanish reading, writing, and speaking. Advanced communication skills to interact at different levels within the organization and with external organizations, candidates, etc. Ability to foster positive employee relations and partner with management to drive business initiatives. Ability to work independently with limited supervision, multitask, and possess strong initiative. Organizational and time‑management skills with ability to prioritize and be detail oriented. Ability to consistently meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills. Ability to think logically, establish and follow procedures, instructions, and make sound decisions. Ability to exercise independent judgment within established systems and procedures. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities. Ability to translate complete problems and concepts in training. Ability to work a flexible schedule, extended hours, holidays, and/or weekends as needed. Preferred

User‑Interface (UI) and Graphic Design skills. Experience using design tools such as Camtasia and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Audition). Other software such as Pro‑Tools, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Animate. Skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web Design. BS or MA degree in instructional design, communications and media production, or similar. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary

Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods in developing training programs for domestic and international locations for existing and new staff which are job specific, company specific and general topics. Develop and produce multimedia pieces for use on websites, in multimedia presentations, and for interactive displays and exhibits. Write and prepare materials used in training programs as well as design exercises to enhance training retention. Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer. Prepare training materials, training manuals, and learning agenda; submit initial versions for review; revise and edit final copy. Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs. Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts. Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process. Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.). Decide on criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments. Maintain project documentation and course folders. Develop and edit online learning material and content. Assess learning needs. Analyze existing instructional material. Develop and design online material and assessment tools. Oversee implementation of online learning programs. Maintain currency in the field of online learning. Collaborate with marketing and public relations teams to determine appropriate visual, textual and animated elements of projects. Assist in the creation of instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids). Assist in design of computer‑based and multimedia curriculum; conduct timely updates to materials as needed. Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle. Test processes with different subjects. Secondary

Audit LMS training reports and follow up as needed to ensure all training assigned are completed. Assist in managing the training program in accordance with business needs and regulatory requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Subject to physical activity is required along with other tests as applicable. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers. Frequently is required to talk and/or hear. Continuously required to sit. Occasionally required to stand and walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasional lifting of up to ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Be constantly aware of personal safety and that of coworkers. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Receives direct supervision from the Human Resources Manager and may receive indirect supervision from the Director of HR. Does not exercise supervision over any other position but may request assistance from the department’s administrative staff. WORKING CONDITIONS
