As a member of Johnsonville’s communications team, you’ll work closely with other teams throughout the company to keep the organization’s 4,000+ Members (employees) informed about the business, as well as about opportunities and resources available to them. You’ll also have the chance to work with media to share news about the company and its Members.
Position Overview The Communications Manager plays an important role in keeping our Members informed, engaged, and inspired. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on creativity and storytelling—and who wants to make a meaningful impact by bringing our culture and strategies to life through compelling narratives and engaging content.

Responsibilities
Identify and craft stories that showcase Johnsonville’s culture and business priorities
Write engaging articles, blog posts, and scripts for internal videos
Create light video content and assist with multimedia design projects
Support creation of visually compelling presentations and graphics
Collaborate with internal business partners to develop and execute communications plans
Explore new tools and technologies—including AI—to improve efficiency and creativity
Develop creative content strategies aligned to enterprise priorities.
Produce multimedia content that engages and inspires Members.
Lead creative projects and campaigns to elevate internal communications.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver impactful messaging.
Develop and execute communications plans that support change‑management strategies for organizational initiatives.
Monitor communications execution and effectiveness, seeking feedback and driving continuous improvement
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field required
Experience
Minimum five years’ experience in a communications, journalism, public relations or similar role, required
Experience writing for a variety of digital platforms, required
Skills
A storyteller with exceptional writing and editing skills who can make messages resonate
A presentation pro who turns PowerPoint into a visual experience
Comfortable with video and multimedia—or excited to dive in and learn
A master multitasker who thrives on juggling projects and deadlines
Tech‑curious and eager to explore new tools and trends
Creative, innovative, and driven to make an impact
A connector who builds strong relationships and partnerships
Adaptable, self‑starter with a positive, can‑do attitude

Travel: About 10% of your time
