Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2025 Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and a 2018-2025 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, has an opportunity for a Senior Graphic Designer that is tasked with designing all facets of graphics content to engage stakeholders through a variety of marketing and communications vehicles. They are a motivated, passionate, and innovative designer who possesses knowledge of theories and practices within creative development. They can translate complex financial, investment, retirement and health/well-being concepts into visually compelling and easily understood graphics. They have demonstrated strong design experience and possess a strong portfolio that proves data visualization skills and storytelling design techniques. Committed to continuous learning, they stay ahead of emerging trends and design innovations to elevate the quality and relevance of their work.

Responsibilities

Develop visually impactful graphic content, illustrations, presentations and other creative collaterals that communicate Wespath’s value proposition and strengthen brand identity for a range of internal and external clients. This includes data-driven graphics, charts, and infographics that simplify complex financial information while maintaining accuracy and clarity.

Bring a contemporary design perspective to institutional investment marketing and sales initiatives, creating visually compelling materials that differentiate Wespath’s offerings and resonate with sophisticated investor audiences.

Provide creative leadership and direction for digital design initiatives, mentoring developing designers while ensuring high-quality, on-brand execution across all digital communications.

Independently manage graphic design projects from concept through delivery, providing creative direction throughout the process. Attend and contribute to concept meetings with internal clients to understand goals and requirements, develop strong and meaningful design concepts, and ensure work aligns with client expectations, brand standards, timelines and due dates. Participate in ongoing check‑ins to review progress, incorporate feedback, and adjust as needed to deliver high-quality results.

Manage design for multi‑channel projects such as the communications and marketing efforts related to Wespath’s institutional investments business, sustainable investing efforts, high‑profile meetings and events, brand refinement efforts, new product/program launches, and more.

Ensure brand consistency throughout all projects, using the Wespath Brand Guidelines for reference.

Integrate closely with the multimedia manager and communications managers to ensure clarity of work and status. Raise issues in a timely manner as appropriate.

Stay up to date with the creative industry developments as well as digital design theories to create fresh and contemporary content. Regularly demonstrates that they are a student of creative design, able to evolve their designs.

Hybrid working arrangement (two days per week in the office).

The compensation range for this position is $84,000 - $93,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be set based on the hired applicant’s qualifications (education, training, and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in art,graphic design, communication design, media design or related fields or equivalent work experience.

5 years’ experience as a design/multimedia professional in a corporate, business or related environment.

Demonstrated project management experience, from concept through delivery, including production oversight using Monday.com, or other project management platforms. Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Strong portfolio demonstrating full creative ability from inception to completion, including marketing or communication campaign design and digital design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience creating retirement benefits, financial, or institutional investment marketing and communications materials.

Knowledge of web design principles and languages, including HTML and CSS.
