High-Level Job Description Under the supervision of the Director of Public Relations, with latitude for independent judgment and decision-making, this full-time role supports the day-to-day operations of the FlyteVu Public Relations team. The Publicity Coordinator will work with FlyteVu team members to activate and execute marketing & publicity plans on behalf of FlyteVu clients.

Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities

Work closely with FlyteVu’s PR team to execute and coordinate assigned PR programs

Contribute to the Publicity Strategy for assigned Client programs and activations

Research, pursue, and contribute creative ideas, new opportunities, and campaign strategies during team brainstorms

Research new media opportunities daily to gain an understanding of the changing press landscape

Successfully build local and national media lists with the appropriate contact(s) at each outlet

Pitch local, regional, and national trade and consumer press for PR campaigns

Write and distribute approved press releases

Work closely with the team to track and monitor program metrics/analytics and generate appropriate reporting recaps.

Coordinate external and internal meetings for the Public Relations team and clients.

Create schedules, talking points, run of shows, and all required media documents for Talent or Client press day.s

Manage and organize projects, timelines, and deliverables as needed through FlyteVu systems and software.

Other Qualifications and Requirements

Assist with talent vetting, research, and tracking related to accounts and projects

Develop and grow knowledge of the assigned client business and its competitive landscape

Maintain a pulse on music, pop culture, and entertainment industry news and actions

File & organize needed documents within agency software & systems

Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information

Proactively manage client expectations and deliver exemplary customer service.

Be willing to work during non-business hours, including weekends and additional hours beyond the 40-hour work week as needed

Assist with on-site activation and fulfillment of client programs, which require that employees:

Must be able to travel without restriction (including the day of the week)

Must be physically able to lift heavy objects to 50 lbs and load/unload, set up and tear down, etc.

Must pass a background check

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a relevant field

Excellent knowledge of public relations best practices, brand management, and media strategies

Outstanding organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with personnel and members of the media

Excellent communication and time management skills.

Problem‑solving mentality with the ability to think independently and challenge oneself to learn and grow.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines.

Ability to work well under pressure.

Entrepreneurial self‑starter with the ability to work with ambiguity at times.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, Apple Keynote, and applicable AI tools.

Ability to operate in fast‑paced, hard‑deadline environments.

Additional Preferences/Not Required

Experience or existing media relationships in the Entertainment or music space

Experience with Muck Rack or other media database

Experience with Basecamp or other Project Management Software

Experience with Harvest or time‑tracking software

Education Required Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
