We are seeking a
Concrete Foreman
to join our team. This hands on leadership role is ideal for a skilled concrete professional who thrives in the field, leads by example, and enjoys working on commercial building projects primarily in the Madison area.
What You'll Do as the Concrete Foreman
Lead and work alongside a crew (typically 5-8 crew members, sometimes up to 20) in commercial concrete forming and finishing.
Read blueprints and construction plans to set daily objectives, coordinate materials, schedule pours, and direct manpower.
Communicate professionally with job superintendents, project managers, and field supervisors to achieve project goals.
Promote and enforce all safety procedures on site for yourself and your crew.
Perform hands on field work including assembling forms, moving materials, prepping and finishing concrete, and ensuring equipment is ready and functional.
Track materials, clean and organize job sites, trucks, and equipment to minimize hazards and maximize efficiency.
Report equipment or vehicle issues promptly to the shop supervisor.
Support mentorship and development of new team members.
Must Haves as the Concrete Foreman
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in commercial concrete forming and finishing.
Strong mastery of concrete mixing, pouring, curing, and finishing techniques.
Proficient with cast in place concrete and accurate concrete yardage quantification.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Physical stamina for extended repetitive field work.
Powered Industrial Truck and all terrain forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
Nice to Haves as the Concrete Foreman
Experience mentoring and developing talent in the field.
Prior experience with tools such as power/laser screeds, power buggy, SkyTrac, hand trowels.
Established relationships with contractors, superintendents, or public entities.
