What You’ll do As a Social Content Creator is responsible for bringing the Rural King brand to life through engaging, platform-native content. This role is a true maker - someone who films, edits, designs, and executes content that feels authentic to rural life. This role will create original content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, supporting key campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and everyday brand storytelling. The Social Content Creator will be heavily involved in filming, creative direction, and hands‑on production, ensuring content aligns with Rural King’s brand voice, values, and visual standards.

Content Creation & Execution

Create original, engaging social media content including videos, images, and captions

Film and capture content on location, in-store, at events, and during brand activations

Edit high-quality video content optimized for each platform

Compile and effectively communicate results.

Creative Direction & Planning

Translate campaign goals into compelling visual storytelling

Develop shot lists prior to filming

Ensure content aligns with brand voice and creative standards

Platform & Trend Awareness

Stay up to date on social media trends and tools

Adapt trends authentically for the Rural King audience

Collaboration & Workflow

Partner with the Social Media Manager and Social Media Coordinator to execute content initiatives and strategy

Coordinate with store managers and partners for filming and permissions

Post work for review and support asset organization

Performance & Optimization

Publish content according to established content calendars

Apply performance insights to improve future content

Essential Qualities for Success

At least 2+ years of experience creating social content

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience with DSLR cameras

Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Capcut, or similar tools

Experience filming and editing short‑form video

Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment and multi‑task

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.

Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.

Able to navigate and access all facilities.

Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in‑person and via electronic devices.

Close vision for computer‑related tasks.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
