Execute technical and creative reviews within fixed daily windows to ensure a predictable and efficient production heartbeat. Editorial Coaching:
Deliver precise, timestamped notes and "gold standard" examples to editors and contractors to foster continuous improvement. Process Evolution:
Identify recurring failure patterns in edits and proactively update agency-wide standards to prevent future issues. Workflow & Collaboration
Cross-Functional Alignment:
Partner with the Editing Project Manager on feasibility and the Production Creative Director to ensure shotlist alignment. Strategic Input:
Collaborate with the Media Strategy Director on format constraints and performance-winning tactics. Decision Rights:
You own QC requirements and hold
veto power
over editor assignments if the talent's style does not align with a client’s specific aesthetic. Direct Escalation:
You serve as the primary contact for quality risks, with a direct line to the CEO/Leadership when quality standards conflict with project scope or timelines. Technical Excellence
Systems Architecture:
Develop and implement standardized motion graphics workflows and LUTs for team-wide use. High-Level Finishing:
Oversee the finishing process end-to-end, including color correction, graphics integration, and audio leveling to ensure flawless output. SOP Management:
Adhere to and enforce internal SOPs for project naming conventions, folder structures, and archival hygiene. Required Skills & Experience
Experience:
Proven track record in a senior-level editing role, ideally within a creative agency or studio environment. Software Mastery:
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop). Familiarity with LucidLink, Frame.io, or similar collaboration tools is a plus. Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to provide clear creative direction and technical guidance to other editors. Detail-Oriented:
A meticulous eye for pacing, tone, and technical specifications (codecs, frame rates, and resolutions). Success Metrics
First-Pass Approval:
Increase the rate of contractor edits that pass review on the first attempt. Revision Reduction:
Decrease major revision rates caused by editorial quality issues. SLA Adherence:
Maintain a 95%+ on-time review rate within established daily windows. Feedback Clarity:
Maintain high consistency and clarity in feedback notes to minimize editor friction. Core Values
Quality Ownership:
You take pride in being the final line of defense for the brand. Solutions-First Mindset:
You identify risks early and bring solutions to the table. Educational Spirit:
