Classification Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Description Supports UF Human Resources communications and branding efforts by producing creative materials in alignment with the University of Florida’s visual identity. This role involves designing and producing assets for both digital platforms and print, capturing and editing photo/video content and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. Frequent collaboration with internal and external teams is required, as well as coordination without side vendors to deliver projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
Produces and updates digital graphics for websites, social media, email communications (primarily Marketing Cloud and Outlook) and select programs using established branding standards and templates. Primarily uses Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign to format layouts, apply graphics and revise content based on provided direction. On occasion, designs will be created via the Canva platform. Provides and incorporates feedback and ensures projects are completed within the established timeline.
Captures and edits photography and video content for use in digital and print materials following defined requirements. Operates cameras and basic lighting and audio equipment and edits files using Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop. Stores and organizes files according to departmental procedures.
Produces and updates print materials such as flyers, signage, handbooks, programs and posters using approved branding guidelines. Prepares print-ready files by applying required formatting, resolution and color settings. Provides creative guidance as needed, incorporates feedback from stakeholders and coordinates with vendors for print production. Ensures materials are created and delivered to stakeholders within the established timelines.
Applies established accessibility and ADA standards when developing and updating visual materials. Reviews assigned assets for required accessibility elements such as color contrast, font usage, image descriptions and video captions. Makes corrections using defined guidelines and tools. Serves as the department point person for ADA guidance, staying up to date with requirements and ensuring department compliance across projects.
Formats charts, graphics and infographics using provided data for reports and presentations. Converts data into standard visual formats using design software. Applies UF branding standards and incorporates feedback from stakeholders.
Attends meetings and provides unit support as needed, such as event set-up, phone coverage, etc.
Expected Salary $46,000
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Knowledge of accessibility standards and applications in the field.
Preferred
Experience with photography, videography and editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and Lightroom.
