Position Summary
You'll be the voice and face of Mitutoyo's social media presence, creating daily content that translates complex metrology and manufacturing technology into engaging, accurate posts across LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and X.

Daily Workflow:
Create daily content: Short-form videos, photos, graphics, written posts
Appear on camera: Product spotlights, behind-the-scenes content, trade show coverage, "Metrology Mythbusters," shop floor series
Capture content on-site: In our showroom, labs, events, and manufacturing partner locations
Edit and publish: Maintain daily posting rhythm with efficient turnaround
Engage community: Respond to comments, identify customer questions, build brand awareness
Track performance: Monitor engagement, follower growth, click-through rates, lead quality
Weekly & Monthly
- Develop content calendar with minimal direction

Proactively identify industry trends, conversations, and story opportunities
- Pitch new content concepts regularly
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Applications Engineers, and Sales
- Provide performance insights and strategic recommendations

Supervisory Responsibilities : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment :
- On-site position in Aurora, IL
- Fast-paced B2B marketing environment
- Daily collaboration with Digital Marketing Manager, Digital Media Specialist, Product Managers, and Applications Engineers
- Access to showroom, labs, and measurement equipment for content creation
Physical Demands:
The person in this position needs to be able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling are required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Monday – Friday 8:00AM-4:30 PM. This position is 100% on-site at Mitutoyo America in Aurora, IL. Standard business hours with flexibility for social media management needs
Travel:
5-10% travel required to attend trade shows, customers, and MAC showrooms.
Required Education and Experience:
3-5 years creating social media content (experience in B2B, industrial, manufacturing, or technical industries preferred)
- On-camera experience with confident, clear communication style
- Consistent content creation history - demonstrated ability to maintain regular posting schedules
- Photography, videography, and editing skills - Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) or equivalent
- Experience creating educational or informational content alongside promotional material
- Technical communication skills - ability to learn and translate engineering/technical topics into accessible content
- Strong organizational skills and comfort working to deadlines
- Proactive, self-directed work style - identifies opportunities and takes initiative
- Comfort appearing on camera as brand spokesperson
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing, machining, engineering, robotics, metrology, or industrial technology sectors
- Experience working with subject matter experts (engineers, product managers) to validate technical accuracy
- Analytics tools and social advertising platform experience
- Trade show or product demonstration environment experience
- Understanding of how to use AI tools efficiently (while knowing their limitations)
