Position Summary

:

The Development Communications Coordinator will be responsible for creating the organization's fundraising communications, including case statements, donor profiles, major gift proposals, white papers, emails, and direct mail. This position will produce compelling, strategic, and engaging content.

Essential Functions

: Collaborates in the development and implementation of the fundraising annual communications plan, including assisting in the development of a calendar of activities and strategy for engaging donors and promoting philanthropic support. Researches content and produces internal communications to support departmental fundraising efforts, including case statements, white papers, and donor profiles. Creates strategic, consistent, and engaging external communications for key stakeholders, including donors, funders, families served, and the general public. These communications highlight upcoming events, demonstrate the impact of our services, and provide ways to support the organization. Manages direct-response fundraising activities, including annual appeals, online charitable giving events, and local giving events. Develops and implements direct-response fundraising campaigns to maximize giving, writes compelling content to appeal to donor audiences, collaborates with marketing team on design elements, and oversees print production when needed. Creates stewardship materials that effectively link donors' contributions to organizational impact through engaging content and impactful messaging. Coordinates with the development and marketing teams to maintain shared calendar of activities, ensure written content is fresh, accurate, and regularly updated, and oversee fundraising database workflows to support timely and meaningful donor engagement. Leads or supports departmental projects and/or special events as needed and assigned. Position Competencies

Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Able to write compelling, accurate, and clear content for a variety of audiences and media formats. Exhibits strong time management and organizational skills. Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and related products. Qualifications:

Must have bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing, or journalism. Must have at least 2 years of experience in fundraising, with demonstrable experience in developing written content. Must have working knowledge of digital communication and data management tools. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Previous experience with fundraising databases preferred. Additional Requirements:

This position primarily works weekday daytime hours. May work occasionally at evening and weekend organizational events. This position may travel to other locations for meetings and events. Must have current driver's license and proof of car insurance. Must complete and maintain all required trainings/certifications. Must maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Working Environment

:

Work is performed in an office environment. Will occasionally work at organizational events in community venues. This job utilizes office equipment and computer/electronic devices.
