Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Reporter to join the PRWeek editorial team. This position is located in New York, NY, working on a mandated hybrid basis three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), two days remotely.

Job Overview:

Fascinated by how the biggest and most creative corporations and brands build their reputation and tell their stories? Interested in covering how brands in crisis - from Cracker Barrel to Boeing to Target to Campbell's - fight for their lives using crisis comms, business strategy, media relations and social media?

Reputation and communication are more important than ever in modern organizations - from crisis to social media to purpose to employee engagement to data and analytics. Effective comms is the hallmark of leaders who are stepping up in politics, business and healthcare, or as individuals.

PRWeek is seeking an enterprising and driven first- or second-job reporter to cover the corporate and AI software beats at the premier business brand for PR pros. The role covers everything from breaking news to in-depth interviews and analysis to long-form features. It involves delivering up-to-the-minute daily content to the PRWeek website, in-depth analyses, sophisticated features and helping populate the brand's AI Dashboard and Play By Play sports email newsletters.

Responsibilities:

Develop strong contacts with in-house CCOs and corporate communications executives, as well as the specialist and corporate arms of big holding company firms Cover the biggest news and trends in corporate comms and crisis PR, breaking news on top executive and account moves Manage content for AI Dashboard and become an expert voice on AI and the PR vendor/software sectors Contribute to Play By Play email newsletter and specialize in sports comms and marketing Write longer profile pieces for publication online and in print Maintain an avid interest in U.S. and global news cycles Skills and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Social media savvy, curious and aggressive reporting skills Ability to tell the story behind the story and put issues in context A demonstrated great writing style Passion for reporting, including the desire to build a beat and cultivate contacts Tenacious newshound who thrives on beating competitors to the punch Presenting skills across live events, podcasts, videos and other formats Knowledge of PR, AI and communications a plus Special Instructions:
