SAIC is seeking to hire a Requirements Analyst in MacDill AFB, FL. This position supports the Test and Evaluations Team by gathering and documenting requirements for new service requests. The Requirements Analyst works under the guidance of the assigned lead to interpreting and formalizing ambiguous requests from various Components and TSOCs as well as various enterprise stakeholders into clear, actionable IT requirements.
About the Team The analyst will support the Test and Evaluation Team, T&E enables an assessment of the attainment of technical performance, specifications, and system maturity to determine whether systems are operationally effective, suitable, and survivable for intended use, and hardware/software/system/services from various Components and TSOCs. These requests are often not clearly articulated, requiring a diligent and detail-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation: Assist with requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, and surveys for new services, software, and hardware.
Analysis and Documentation: Help translate initial, and often ambiguous, requests into clear, detailed requirements specifications, user stories, and functional documents.
Change Management: Manage and document changes to baseline requirements through a formal change control process.
Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between end-users and the technical team to ensure business needs are effectively communicated.
Process Analysis: Assist in analyzing current business processes and workflows to ensure changes align with technical capabilities.
Validation and Testing
Support UAT Planning: Assist in preparing for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by helping to set up the test environment and preparing test data.
Document Test Cases: Help create detailed UAT test cases and test scripts based on identified business requirements.
Execute UAT Tests: Execute UAT test scripts under supervision, covering functional and end-to-end scenarios.
Log and Track Defects: Accurately log defects found during testing, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
Success Requirements
Requirement Fulfillment: Ensure new service requests are accurately captured and meet the articulated business needs of stakeholders.
Accurate Documentation: Produce clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of requirements and test results.
Smooth Implementation: Support the efficient progression of change requests from initial request to final implementation.
Qualifications Active TS/SCI Clearance is required.
Skills
Basic understanding of business processes and IT systems.
Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., Remedy or Jira) and process modeling tools (e.g., Visio) is preferred.
Education Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field (Preferred). Higher level of education is also desirable.
Experience 2–5 years of experience in a business or requirements analyst role, including internships.
Certifications
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification.
Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or equivalent certification.
Flexibility: Ability to work shifts and weekends as required.
Travel: Less than 10% of travel may be required.
