Role & Required Skills: We are seeking a
Payments Business Analyst (BA)
who will define and analyze requirements for payment systems, bridging business needs with technical solutions. This role focuses on transaction flows, fee structures, compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR), and process optimization. The BA will be responsible for creating documentation (user stories, workflows), collaborating with stakeholders, supporting testing, and ensuring efficient, secure payment processing across multiple channels (APIs, card networks) for activities such as authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
Job Description: Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Elicit, analyze, and document business needs for new payment features, systems, or process improvements.
Create user stories and detailed specifications to guide development.
Payment System Expertise
Demonstrate deep understanding of payment lifecycles (authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks).
Ensure compliance with industry standards (EMV, PCI-DSS).
Process Design & Optimization
Design efficient payment workflows and analyze existing processes to identify cost‑saving and error‑reduction opportunities.
Recommend improvements to enhance speed and reliability.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Finance teams to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure payment solutions meet regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR) and internal risk policies, focusing on secure transaction processing.
Testing & Implementation
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate releases for new functionalities.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $106,230 to $145,000
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
