Description Ledcor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to join our team for a large-scale fiber to the home project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, developing project plans, and monitoring performance. Recognized as an expert, they will anticipate client needs and provide solutions, sharing expertise and mentoring colleagues.

Essential Responsibilities

Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes

Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations

Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules

Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects

Hold working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project

Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations

Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team

Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff

Qualifications

Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent

Knowledge of underground and aerial fiber installation

Post‑secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset

Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices

Effective communication and leadership skills

Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as subcontractors

Problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues

Strong organizational and planning skills

Working Conditions

Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
