CVS Media Exchange [CMX] is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, and agencies. The Senior Manager, Product Operations Manager is the central owner of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) standards, governance, and cross-functional operating mechanisms for the CVS Media Exchange (CMX) product portfolio. This role ensures that CMX teams operate with consistency, predictability, and operational rigor as the business scales.
As the enterprise steward of product operations, you will drive the systems, frameworks, and routines that enable strong decisionmaking, clear accountability, and seamless crossteam execution. You will serve as a critical partner to Product Directors, Engineering, GTM, and COE teamsbalancing discipline with adaptability in a fastpaced environment.
This role requires a leader who excels at influence without authority, brings strong operational instincts, anticipates risks, and provides clarity amid ambiguity. You will also mentor Product Operations Specialists and elevate operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Product Lifecycle Governanceh3>
Own and evolve CMXs product lifecycle methodologies, standards, tooling, templates, and quality controls.
Ensure CMX-wide alignment on product discovery, development, GTM, launch, and postlaunch monitoring, as well as product escalations.
Govern decision gates, readiness assessments, and portfolio-level quality metrics, serving as the record keeper for end-to-end product lifecycle compliance.
Portfolio-Level Coordination, Reporting & Escalation Management
Maintain a single source of truth for CMX product portfolio health, including dashboards, insights, risks, and resource signals.
Proactively identify crossteam risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, driving timely resolution.
Proactively communicate risks and bottlenecks to relevant crossfunctional stakeholders and Leadership team.
Facilitate portfolio-wide operational cadences (Quarterly/Annual planning, resource reviews, decision forums, GTM sequencing).
CrossFunctional Alignment & Program Leadership
Partner with Product Directors, Engineering, Data, GTM, COEs, and Operations to ensure lifecycle adherence and scalable execution.
Ensure COE partners maintain documented GTM processes that align with CMX Product Operations standards.
Lead crossfunctional initiatives impacting multiple product lines (e.g., governance enhancements, new lifecycle frameworks, enterprise onboarding to new tools).
Change Management & Adoption
Drive organizational adoption of lifecycle processes, templates, and operating mechanisms.
Develop training, guides, and communication plans to ensure consistent understanding across teams.
Act as a champion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Capability Development
Mentor Product Operations Specialists; raise operational maturity across product teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, openness, transparency, and predictable delivery.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on operational effectiveness and scaling strategies.
Location

This role is hybrid and commutable to one of the following Corporate Hubs, which requires working in the office 2 days a week (Tuesday - Wednesday):

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product operations, program management, product management, or PMO in a technology, media, retail media, or digital product environment. Demonstrated success leading complex crossfunctional programs and governance processes. Expertise in designing and optimizing product lifecycle frameworks and operational systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication skills across all levels, including executives; able to influence decisions without authority.
Proven ability to operate in fastpaced, ambiguous environments while maintaining clarity and structure.
Experience identifying and managing risks, escalations, and organizational dependencies.
Experience in Retail Media Networks, Ad Tech, or largescale digital platform operations.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Asana, or other PLM toolsets.
Agile certification
Prior experience coaching or mentoring operational roles.
Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent (HS Diploma and 4 years of experience) required
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
