Job Description
We areseeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to support our project teams by producing accurate construction drawings and documentation. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD skills, a solid understanding of construction drawings, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise construction drawings using AutoCAD
- Develop shop drawings, details, and as-built drawings
- Interpret sketches, redlines, specifications, and field information
- Coordinate drawing updates based on RFIs, change orders, and site conditions
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes
- Assist with permit submittals and construction documentation packages
- Maintain organized drawing files and version control
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet project schedules and deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required)
- Ability to read and interpret construction and architectural drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in Drafting, CAD, or related field
- Experience in construction, roofing, architectural, or engineering drafting
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Revit, or other CAD/BIM tools
- Knowledge of construction methods and building codes
