Senior Aviation Property Manager (Real Estate Division)

Bachelor s Degree. Three years of experience in the management of commercial real estate properties at an airport, industrial park, or other multi-tenant commercial property to include airport operator/user agreements, lease development, administration, property management, or contract management and lease development are required. Additional experience in the management of commercial real estate properties at an airport, industrial park, or other multi-tenant commercial property to include airport operator/user agreements, lease development, administration, property management, or contract management and lease development may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a valid State of Florida driver s license. Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification and such other procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.

This position is an advanced and specialized property management work for the Miami-Dade County Aviation Department. Employees in this class are responsible for performing a variety of property management duties in the negotiation of agreements, leasing, and inspection of airport properties. The work emphasizes negotiating and preparing various agreements and leases, maintaining favorable tenant relations, inspecting, evaluating and monitoring leased airport properties for compliance with terms and conditions, conducting research on the utilization of airport properties, preparing related statistical reports, interpreting findings, recommending solutions regarding utilization of airport property, and reviewing and evaluatingapplications for leases to provide greatest economic return and best use of the properties. Incumbents exercise independent judgment in the negotiation of lease agreements and in assuring work is performed in accordance with departmental requirements. Supervision is received from an administrative superior who reviews work for effectiveness in negotiating and preparing agreements in conformance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
