Leading Intimate Apparel seeking an Intimate Apparel Technical Designer
Role Description / Summary of job This is a full-time, on‑site role for an Intimate Apparel Technical Designer located in the New York City.
Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing fit development and production from 1st fit, 2nd fit all the way to PP. processes.
Create tech packs (Excel) based on sketches and/or samples from designers.
Measure samples, fit samples on live model/form and communicate fit/revised measurements/constructions, review or issue graded specs to overseas factories.
Knowledge of molded cup shapes, form, wire quality/shape for missy and plus bras (a plus – will train).
Knowledge of Blue Cherry PLM (a plus – will train).
Qualifications
2–3 years in Ladies’ and Kids’ Intimate Apparel, Swimwear, Sleepwear in Technical Design and Fitting processes.
Understanding of intimates fitting, grading, garment constructions.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication skills with overseas factories for cross‑team collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field is preferred.
Proficient PC skills including MS Office (Excel/Outlook), Blue Cherry PLM (a plus).
