The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for processing residential mortgage loans from application through closing. This role supports in‑house loan products, Freddie Mac loans, and Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs). The processor ensures accurate documentation, timely ordering and tracking of third‑party services, and consistent communication with borrowers, lenders, underwriters, attorneys, and title companies to achieve efficient and compliant loan closings.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of mortgage loan processing, including internal bank policy, Freddie Mac guidelines, and HELOC requirements.
Understanding of mortgage regulations, disclosures, and compliance standards.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency with loan origination systems and standard office software.
This position requires flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, workload demands, and business needs.
The Loan Processor must demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills to identify issues, analyze documentation, and resolve loan conditions efficiently.
This role requires the ability to apply logical reasoning to interpret underwriting guidelines, assess documentation, and determine appropriate next steps.
The role requires strong teamwork skills to collaborate with lenders, underwriters, attorneys, and support staff to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
