Design Focus International is an award winning and environmentally focused design-build firm that creates lasting, quality landscapes for large-scale commercial and residential projects. We are located in a beautiful garden setting in the Santa Cruz Mountains.This is an in-office position with a possibility of a hybrid schedule for the right candidate. Some field work and travel will be required in the Santa Cruz area and Silicon Valley. A reliable mode of transportation is required.
Experience
3-5 years professional work experience in Landscape Architecture office
3-5 years AutoCAD drafting experience
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
Required Skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Technical understanding of construction drawings and details. Applicant must be able to read and understand schematic and construction document drawings
Able to follow office drafting standards
Working independently and efficiently on multiple projects
Managing large AutoCAD drawing files with multiple reference files (X-Ref)
Knowledge of SketchUp is preferred
Knowledge of Photoshop and the Adobe Suite is expected
Responsibilities
Prepare plans and documents from schematic design through construction administration
CAD file management and file sharing skills are essential for the position.
Site Measuring
Perform takeoffs for cost estimates and bid packages
Provide general support and assistance to other members of the team
Assist in general office and in-the-field needs
