Your Key Responsibilities There’s no average day for a Sales and Use Tax Staff; you’ll spend your time on a diverse array of projects, responsibilities and tasks. You’ll provide up‑to‑the‑minute tax advice in a highly collaborative culture, listening to and sharing information with colleagues.
Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to clients.
Learning and researching current market trends to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor.
Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve clients’ tax activities.
Researching client business operations and building long‑lasting relationships to tailor advice to their specific needs.
Collaborating with a motivated team of professionals.
Skills and attributes for success
Strong academic record with an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, and an advanced degree in Tax or Law.
Demonstrable plan for passing a US state Bar exam.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Tax technical skills and experience in tax research, writing and compliance.
Ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation and a driver’s license is recommended.
Ideally, you will have
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, and/or Premium Pro.
Ability to adapt your work style to work with both internal and client team members.
Knowledge of how to leverage firm‑approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range of $85,000 to $125,000, plus medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off.
A hybrid working model with 40–60% in‑person client engagement.
