Description
The AWS Specialist and Partner Sales Operations team is seeking a driven, experienced Business Operations lead supporting the Partner Core Tech organization. The candidate for this role will be a strategic business partner in shaping the trajectory of the business. They will be able to transform data into compelling narratives and help drive our next phase of growth through operational excellence and innovative thinking.
Partner Core Tech is a team of Partner Solutions Architects (PSAs), Technical Program Managers (TPMs), and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) that serve as trusted technical advisors helping to unlock partner potential by guiding them to build innovative products, solutions, and services using Amazon Web Services capabilities. The team partners closely with the Partner Core team within the AWS Partner and Specialist Organization, focused on developing and executing both business and technical strategy across multiple dimensions: delivering technical execution to support scalable partner programs, delivering data-driven insights through advanced analytical tools, piloting new business models and technical capabilities, and managing strategic partner engagements.
Key Responsibilities Develops, implements, and manages operational processes, systems, and metrics to enable Partner Solutions Architects (PSAs), Technical Program Managers (TPMs), and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to effectively scale partner technical enablement and drive partner success. Analyzes partner engagement performance data to identify growth opportunities and process improvements. Partners with stakeholders to drive day-to-day operational excellence through process management, performance analysis, technology support, business reviews, and operational planning. As the AI-powered partner landscape continues to evolve, this role will be instrumental in leveraging the latest artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance partner technical engagement processes and decision-making. The Business Operations Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to responsibly implement and optimize AI-driven tools and workflows that augment the Partner Core Tech organization's productivity and effectiveness.
Process & Metrics Management
Documents and implements standardized engagement processes and metrics, including goal and KPI definitions, and performance target cascades to support operational effectiveness across PSA, TPM, and CSM functions.
Manages success attribution processes and resolves escalations to ensure accurate reporting of technical impact and business outcomes on behalf of the stakeholder organization.
Leads Annual Planning Processes on behalf of stakeholders.
Analytics & Business Intelligence
Conducts performance analysis on partner engagement data, technical milestone completion rates, goal attainment, and forecast accuracy to identify potential risks.
Supports regular business reviews with insights on partner pipeline health, technical engagement trends, and operational efficiency.
Develops data-driven insights through advanced analytical tools to inform both business and technical strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinates cross-functional projects to improve partner technical engagement efficiency and processes.
Partners with Partner Core business teams to align technical execution with scalable partner program delivery.
Supports strategic partner engagement management and pilot programs for new business models and technical capabilities.
AI-Enabled Operations
Orchestrates AI-human collaboration in partner technical engagement processes.
Manages and optimizes AI-powered insights and intelligence tools and automated engagement tracking systems.
Implements workflows and automation to streamline processes and improve team efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
