Studio 36 Design
We are a full service residential interior design firm specializing in custom homes and renovations. Our goal is to weave our practical approach with the clients needs to create the best version of their environment.
Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Designer located in the Brentwood, TN area. The Junior Designer will be responsible for contributing to design projects and delivering exceptional design services to a roster of clients. The Junior Designer will be collaborating in all phases of design from concept through installation and will be working alongside the Principle Designers and Design Assistants.
Responsibilities
Identify design needs, create design concepts, and develop design solutions that align with the client's vision and requirements
Participate and support design team in all phases of multiple design projects from development through installation
Assist with sourcing of furniture, fabrics, fixtures, and finishes in line with client needs, the Principal Designer’s vision and project budget
Prepare presentation materials and assist in presenting designs to clients and other consultants
Provide input and help manage scope, scheduling, and budget requirements of each project
Prepare and maintain supporting documents such as finish schedules, specifications, furnishing budgets, product/room matrices, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
At least 2-3 years of experience in a residential interior design firm
Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, building materials, and construction techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Proven track record of delivering high-quality design projects that meet client expectations and timelines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Tech You’ll Use
AutoCAD (daily)
Microsoft Office
QuickBooks (vendor and budget tracking)
SketchUp & Canva experience is a plus
Salary: Based on experience
401(k) matching after 1 year
Paid time off, plus paid studio closure between Christmas and New Year’s
