Support & Stability & Technology Training Located in our Milwaukee, WI facility and reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Engineer will sell HVAC services and provide mechanical engineering and design using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation by building, maintaining, and improving relationships with clients. Responsibilities: Sell commercial HVAC services and solutions to new and existing customers: including repair service, modernization, and service agreements. Maintain relationships with customers ensuring their satisfaction with services performed. Work with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service and resolve issues as they arise. Perform service quotes and estimates. Read architectural and mechanical drawings to determine proper HVAC locations for new construction and remodel projects. Make regular site visits to all projects and coordinate flow of materials to field personnel on site to keep project moving and achieve completion in a timely and efficient manner. Provide mechanical engineering and design to create custom solutions to meet customer specific needs, which includes assisting with equipment selection, review and suggest pipe sizing and ductwork design, creation of schematics and bill of material. Collect and prepare data/information and perform detailed engineering calculations for HVAC system equipment. Communicate and collaborate with project managers and General Manager. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3+ years of work experience in the HVAC/Construction industry required. Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for design purposes. Ability to interact with customers and support project coordination. Ability to manage multiple priorities, strong planning, scheduling, and time management skills. Strong technical know-how and capacity. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to make decisions. Project management skills, including ability to develop, organize, and accomplish specific goals and plans. Ability to proficiently communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Teamwork orientation and ability to guide, direct, and motivate subordinates. This position is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary. This job operates in both an office and a field environment. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
