About the Role
Cloudflare’s network protects over 20% of the Internet, handling trillions of requests per month. We’re looking for a product manager to build systems and processes that allow us to order, deploy, and manage infrastructure at scale, ensuring efficient growth and operational excellence across our rapidly expanding customer base.
What You’ll Do
- Lead transformation initiatives, such as comprehensive ERP integration and hardware deployment acceleration.
- Improve asset accuracy and visibility, building systems to know the exact location and status of every piece of hardware.
- Support capacity planning and compliance by providing real‑time metrics to all teams.
- Elevate operational standards to ensure all maintenance processes are non‑impacting to customers and enforce robust failure strategies.
- Champion stakeholder visibility and collaboration to align product priorities across engineering and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Represent customers—internal and external—and bring their voices into the creation process.
- Develop and evangelize a platform vision that scales from current customers to 10–100 times that number.
- Make data‑driven roadmap decisions and prioritize requirements based on curated data.
- Track and own success metrics throughout the product lifecycle, translating insights into actionable hypotheses.
- Collaborate across teams, ensuring alignment between engineering, support, ops, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience.
- Domain expertise in infrastructure operations or procurement; experience as an architect or product owner in operational and financial tooling.
- Distributed systems experience with scaling deployment strategies for volume growth.
- Strong customer and stakeholder empathy, acting as a single voice of engineering, customers, support, or ops.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets (SQL, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, etc.) and proving points with data.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Bonus Points
- BS/MS in a technology‑ or business‑related field.
- Hands‑on experience with command‑line tools for interacting with APIs (e.g., curl, dig).
- Scripting or programming experience (Python, Go, etc.) or familiarity with web frameworks.
Compensation
- Colorado: $168,000 – $206,000 per year.
- Washington DC: $187,000 – $229,000 per year.
Equity
This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
