The Fundamental Group started out as a media agency, specialising in clients within the Asset Management and Higher Education sectors. Our vision was to become a leading specialist, and we have achieved this through a combination of contemporary and innovative technologies. This includes our in-house proprietary performance marketing technologies and reporting platforms, in-house programmatic solutions, research team and most importantly our people, each with expert sector knowledge.
As a Social Strategist, you will play a key role in developing and executing social media strategies across platforms such as Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Reddit, LinkedIn, and more. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to create social campaigns that align with broader media strategies and deliver measurable results. The ideal candidate is deeply fluent in social media culture, a sharp storyteller, and has hands‑on experience running both organic and paid programs across major social platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute holistic social strategies that support client goals and integrate into broader media plans
- Manage and optimise social media campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, and emerging platforms
- Monitor trends and platform updates to proactively guide strategy and content recommendations
- Collaborate with creative teams to shape content calendars, campaign narratives, and audience engagement plans
- Analyse performance data to deliver actionable insights and reporting
- Act as a social thought leader internally and externally, bringing fresh ideas to the table
- Manage client relationships and present strategic plans, findings, and opportunities with confidence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working across multiple accounts and industries, including finance or asset management (a plus)
