Position Overview
Denials & Revenue Recovery Specialist
for a
fast-growing healthcare revenue recovery organization . This is a
fully remote role (U.S.-based, any time zone)
supporting specialty medical practices nationwide. This role is responsible for driving measurable cash recovery by resolving denied and underpaid insurance claims through disciplined, payer‑specific workflows. You will manage assigned denial queues, submit appeals, and follow claims through to final resolution while maintaining extremely high accuracy and documentation standards. This is a performance‑driven role for professionals who take ownership of dollars recovered, not just tasks completed.

Responsibilities
Work assigned denial and underpayment queues, including medical necessity, bundling, timely filing, and payer disputes
Prepare and submit appeals using payer‑ and CPT‑specific playbooks
Perform payer follow‑ups via phone, portals, and written correspondence
Track claims through final resolution and ensure no avoidable delays
Maintain clean, accurate, and audit‑ready documentation for every claim
Escalate complex or emerging denial trends to leadership as appropriate
Qualifications
Background in medical billing, insurance A/R, or denial recovery
Experience working with commercial payers such as BCBS, Aetna, United, or Cigna
Comfortable working in structured, KPI‑driven, productivity‑focused environments
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
Ability to work independently while following defined workflows and processes
Compensation And Benefits This is a
Temp‑to‑Hire
role offering
$28.85–$35.00 per hour , based on experience, with conversion eligibility based on performance in the first several months. Converted employees receive full company‑provided equipment and access to a comprehensive benefits package.
