Overview Sr. AD, Healthcare Affairs Channel Strategy at Boehringer Ingelheim. This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site. Compensation This position offers a base salary typically between $170,000 and $269,000. Responsibilities Provide a holistic channel perspective as a Subject Matter Expert to identify industry events and trends impacting the organization. Lead pull-through efforts regarding HCA MegaTrends and their incorporation into the ICP annual tactical planning process. Create an annual channel assessment and plan to integrate into the annual planning process. Conduct regular market scans within the channel, frame situations, assess potential impact on Boehringer, and share mitigation strategies with Value & Access colleagues as relevant. Represent the voice of the market and customer, identify strategic opportunities in each channel, and assess commercial implications due to channel changes. Collaborate with key Value & Access teams to pull through Channel Strategies and prepare customer-facing teams for engagements with customers. Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Thinking and Planning: develop a Channel Strategy plan and stakeholder engagement plan; provide input on impact assessments and mitigation concepts; distill market and customer trends into annual planning and ongoing strategic work. Subject Matter Expertise: monitor market access and healthcare landscape trends; act as SME in the Channel and help internal partners develop meaningful strategies to impact the commercial business. Teamwork and Collaboration: align with PGA, VAIS, Payor Sales on insights and trends; engage with internal stakeholders to interpret policy and channel changes; co-lead internal impact assessments and external RFIs; collaborate with VAIS to pull-through HCA MegaTrends into ICP planning. Project Management and Execution: develop clear, actionable slides and emails; maintain knowledge across strategy and project details; develop workload plans with objectives and KPIs; provide leadership updates and assessments. Communication and Business Acumen: align on strategy with stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior leadership; build presentations and tell the story concisely; engage internal and external stakeholders in a constructive, influential manner. Qualifications Minimum degree from an accredited four-year school; MBA preferred. Seven-plus (7+) years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Three-plus (3+) years of Market Access or Commercial experience highly preferred. Three-plus (3+) years of Strategy Development and/or Market Access consulting experience highly preferred. Behavioral and Technical Skills Solid understanding of the US Commercial Business and ability to develop impact assessments. Subject Matter Expertise in Value & Access, with knowledge of healthcare landscape and channels. Consensus building and ability to lead assessments and workstreams. Ability to derive insights from various sources and communicate effectively with Senior Leadership. Self-starter with opportunity-seeking mindset and strong business acumen. Ability to travel domestically as needed. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills. Eligibility Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
