Senior Advertising Research Manager – Educated Solutions Corp (ESC)

Do you have a deep interest in advertising effectiveness and understanding what truly resonates with customers? ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Advertising Research Manager to lead cross-category, cross-channel ad tracking and pre‑testing research that informs how marketers globally design, measure, and optimize advertising. This role sits at the intersection of research excellence, business consulting, and marketing impact.

You will be the owner of scalable advertising research tools and methodologies, a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and an active contributor to our client’s broader research community. Your work will directly influence how the company evaluates creative effectiveness, brand impact, and campaign performance across regions and channels. The role starts as a 12‑month contract engagement, working onsite in Seattle, WA.

Key Responsibilities

Research Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative primary research to generate actionable insights for marketing, finance and business teams.
  • Own campaign ad tracking and pre‑testing programs, ensuring methodological rigor and continuous improvement over time.
  • Design and evolve modular research frameworks to validate creative effectiveness and optimize campaign outcomes.
  • Apply mixed‑method approaches (survey, interviews, segmentation, modeling) to answer complex business questions.

Analysis & Insight Development

  • Analyze data using advanced analytical techniques and synthesize findings into clear, decision‑ready recommendations.
  • Translate complex research findings into concise, compelling narratives for non‑research stakeholders.
  • Use strong business acumen to not only answer questions, but to anticipate future needs and opportunities.

Stakeholder Partnership & Consulting

  • Serve as a trusted research expert and consultant to global marketing and business stakeholders.
  • Educate partners on how to best leverage research to inform strategy and planning.
  • Confidently challenge assumptions and proposed plans when research findings indicate risk or opportunity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across regions and functions.

Scale & Community Engagement

  • Design scalable, nimble research mechanisms that expand the reach and efficiency of advertising insights.
  • Partner with external research agencies to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Engage with Amazon’s internal research community to share learnings and integrate complementary insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional (non‑internship) experience in marketing or advertising research.
  • Experience conducting ad research across multiple countries and regions.
  • Strong background in B2B market research.
  • Hands‑on experience with analytical tools such as Q, R, SPSS, SAS, STATA, or advanced Excel (Pivot Tables).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics, economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in business, marketing, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including authoring executive‑level research reports.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data modeling.
  • Experience living or working in an international or cross‑cultural environment.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
