Job Details: Job Title: Hospitalist Physician PT/FT: Full-Time (FT) Schedule: Flexible 12-hour shifts Board Certification Requirements: ABIM eligible; ABFM eligible On-Call Duties: Yes Details & Benefits: Hospital Description: Lutheran Downtown ??? Fort Wayne Hospital Features: 60 beds, modern facility opened in November 2021 Services: Onsite emergency department, surgery, GI, lab, and radiology Shifts: 12-hour shifts with flexibility to leave early on low census/low acuity days Daily Census: Approximately 20-25 patients split between two clinicians Provider Composition: One rounding day physician plus one APC, NP sees 5-6 patients per day and handles new admits Schedule: 7 on / 7 off block schedule Night Coverage: Nights covered by APC, night telephone call by physician (0-3 calls nightly) ICU Coverage: Hospitalists see ICU patients with consults available from intensivists Procedures: Procedures not required; vent management preferred but not mandatory EMR: Cerner Training Accepted: Family Medicine training accepted Residents Accepted: Yes (2024) Accepts New Grads: Yes Accepts Visa Candidates: No Contract Type: Employee / W2 Why Choose Us?
