Alchemy is working with an established international fine art shipping company in New York looking to hire an Operations Manager/Director to lead their Fine Art section. This role suits an experienced fine art logistics professional with strong operational background, customs expertise, and leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fine art shipping and operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high service standards
• Manage U.S. and international customs clearance, including import/export procedures, documentation, and regulatory compliance
• Prepare and review fine art shipping estimates
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, customs brokers, and international partners
• Provide operational leadership and line management, supporting workflow, performance, and best practice to a small team

Key Requirements

• Proven experience within fine art shipping or logistics
• Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, international import/export processes, and compliance requirements
• Experience preparing and reviewing fine art shipping estimates
• Demonstrated management or supervisory experience
• Highly organised, commercially minded, and confident, operating at a senior level
