Position Information Job Title: Assistant Professor of Art – Graphic Design Position Number: 999408 Department: Visual and Performing Arts Salary: $53,500 Remote: No Job Summary / Description The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Angelo State University seeks applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor of Art–Graphic Design, with an emphasis in interactive design, starting August 2026. Typical Duties / Job Duties The ideal candidate will provide evidence of excellent technical skills to instruct students in the use of Adobe Creative software in advanced upper-level graphic design courses in emerging digital technologies including interactive media, graphic illustration, digital imaging, UI/UX design, web publishing and scripting, and application of industry-standard technical skills including front‑end web development. The candidate should also possess the interest and abilities to teach a course in the History of Graphic Design, and/or fundamental art courses as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Other responsibilities include: Recruiting and retaining students in the Art and Graphic Design Area. Participating in departmental/Art Area meetings and events. Maintaining regular office hours. Working collaboratively and productively with faculty colleagues to meet the needs of our student body. Minimum Qualifications MFA degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design, or an equivalent degree.
