Business Development Manager

Position Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth for WYATT's turnaround (TAR) construction services, including mechanical, structural, piping, rigging, and complex integrated scopes. This role focuses on developing new business and strengthening client relationships within the refining, petrochemical, and chemical markets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth and profit objectives
Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities and target accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Communicate WYATT's capabilities, resources, and value proposition to customers
Support sales pursuits, including coordination with estimating and management teams through final close
Monitor market conditions and adjust sales strategies as needed
Provide feedback on client programs, active work, and marketing initiatives
Participate in post-project "lessons learned" reviews
Travel as required to support business development activities
Qualifications
Degree preferred but not required
Extensive experience in the construction industry, preferably supporting refining, petrochemical, or chemical markets
Strong understanding of the sales process with a proven ability to influence, negotiate, and close business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; results-driven and client-focused
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales tools
Valid driver's license
Work Environment
Primarily office-based with travel as needed
Standard physical requirements associated with office and field sales activities
Pre-employment drug-screen and background check are required.
