ViiV is seeking a
Market Development Director
to join the PrEP franchise launch. This role reports to the Market Development Head and works closely with sales leaders and cross‑functional teams to increase sales performance in key territories and customers. The Market Development Director will leverage data, analytics, and strategic planning to accelerate sales performance and support the sales organization with the right cross‑functional approach.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with PrEP franchise sales leadership to understand needs and provide guidance.
Collaborate with the extended matrix team to maximize analytics, systems, reports, and incentive compensation strategies to identify growth opportunities.
Propose a national plan to prioritize key regions, territories, and customers to achieve performance excellence.
Build trust with first‑line and second‑line sales leaders to co‑create business plans and connect the dots across the organization.
Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, managed healthcare, and local marketplace insights.
Ensure pull‑through of national sales, marketing, and payer opportunities.
Support training agenda and ensure consistency of messaging across the nation.
Interact and influence marketing, digital marketing, and payer strategies.
Identify ROI of opportunities to align with financial and sales goals.
Analyze area/regional business trends based on market dynamics.
Respond flexibly to environmental changes such as generic intrusion, formulary changes, Medicaid, non‑retail business, and unique product opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree and 10+ years of pharma experience in sales, marketing, operations, or analytics.
3+ years of leadership experience.
Product launch experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical profile creating insights and influencing decision making.
Proactive, challenge status quo, and move organization in right direction.
Emotional intelligence and focus on GSK values: Ambitious for Patients, Accountable for Impact, Doing the Right Thing.
Ability to manage complex matrix organizations.
Ability to synthesize and communicate messages to different audiences.
MBA is a strong preference.
Specific experience with injectables, HIV, and/or PrEP.
Experience understanding HIV community and ecosystem.
