Job Title: Outpatient Based Interventional Radiology Marketing Director and Practice Administrator
Location: Northeast Florida

Reports to: Physician Group Leadership
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Marketing Director and Practice Administrator to grow the practice and oversee the day-to-day operations of our Interventional Radiology (IR) outpatient-based offices located in Northeast Florida. The Practice Administrator will be responsible for medical marketing and practice growth and development, managing clinical and administrative staff, optimizing workflow efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting provider productivity, managing revenue and expenses, and enhancing patient experience in a dynamic medical specialty.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Growth and Development:
Recruit new interventional partners.
Market the practice to community physicians and advanced practitioners, self-referral patients, and acquire new referral sources through direct and indirect medical marketing.
Develop and implement new lines of interventional services.
Maintain and cultivate current referral sources.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of the IR practice, including patient and staff scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation. Effective timely communication between all necessary parties.
Coordinate between interventional physicians, technologists, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure smooth clinical operations.
Monitor procedural volume, physician schedules and optimize throughput.
Appropriate supplies and services expenditure and utilization with review, oversight, maximization and cost effectiveness analysis.
Financial Oversight:
Manage HR and payroll, budgets, AR, AP, financial reporting and forecasting.
Work closely with the medical billing company to ensure accurate charge capture and timely and full reimbursement and revenue recovery.
Work closely with the accounting firm for accurate and timely financial filing. QB experience, bookkeeping skills a plus.
Analyze financial performance and implement cost-control strategies, debt repayment.
Staff Management & Development:
Hire, train and supervise clinical and administrative staff.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement staff development initiatives.
Ensure adequate staffing levels for front office, back office, procedures and recovery areas.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (HIPAA, DEA, AHCA, OSHA, Florida medical board, radiation protection, med waste, annual facilities inspection, etc.).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of interventional radiology procedures, documentation standards and accreditation requirements.
Patient Experience & Quality:
Monitor and improve patient satisfaction through workflow improvements, service excellence and exemplary communication.
Implement and track quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field required (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in interventional radiology, or outpatient operations (other sectors: Cardiology, Vascular surgery, Nephrology, Ambulatory, etc).
Marketing and managerial experience in procedural-based medical practices.
Strongly desired: Understanding of IR procedures, equipment and patient care workflows.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding, billing practices and revenue cycle operations in IR.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Experience with procedural-based EMR/EHR systems (Office Ally or similar) and radiology information systems (PACS).
Familiarity with Florida-specific healthcare regulations and payer environments is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA), RHIA, or similar certification.
Ability to operate independently, research issues, present options and solutions, make recommendations.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive leadership style.
Local or regional experience in the Northeast Florida healthcare market is highly desirable.
Work Environment Location: Currently based in 2 outpatient OBL IR office settings in Jacksonville and St. Augustine.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm with occasional after-hours responsibilities. “Call service management” after hours and weekends.
Travel: Minimal; travel between 2 offices in Northeast Florida: 60% Jacksonville, 40% St Augustine.
