Job Description
General Description: Under the supervision of an assigned System Operations Area Supervisor, this role involves completing startup, testing, and commissioning of new HVAC and plumbing systems. Essential Duties: Perform startup and mechanical functional testing of HVAC and plumbing equipment. Conduct mechanical and plumbing system commissioning and testing. Complete all startup and commissioning documentation. Read and interpret mechanical prints, specifications, and construction documents. Maintain proper documentation of daily activities following project reporting procedures. Collaborate with team members and other trades. Ensure compliance with company QA/QC protocols. Implement safety protocols and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or regional manager. Qualifications: High school diploma, G.E.D., or completion of an HVAC/refrigeration apprenticeship or similar program. Minimum three years as a Journeyperson HVAC Technician or equivalent. Self-motivated, energetic, positive attitude. Strong communication, technical, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and with a team. Proficient with personal computers. Willingness to work overtime and weekends. Willing to attend training sessions; sponsorship provided for non-signatory applicants. Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR. Core Competencies: Strategic Thinking, People Skills, Communication, Planning, Execution, Decision Making, Professionalism. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sit, stand, use hands, reach, and climb ladders or use construction equipment. Specific vision and hearing abilities required.
