Director of Student Success
FranU
The Director of Student Success will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive student support services, including academic coaching, professional tutoring, peer mentoring, and early alert systems. This role is instrumental in advancing student retention, persistence, and graduation, with a special focus on pre‑clinical and clinical healthcare solutions. This role will report to the Project Director of Title III and supervise the Director of Student Success, Student Success Coaches, and the Manager of Advising. This role will collaborate closely with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Academic Advising, the Learning Resource Center, Counseling Services, and other campus partners.
Responsibilities
Mission Advancement
Actively engages the Catholic and Franciscan mission and identity of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University by modeling the Franciscan values, honoring the legacy of the founding congregation, promoting justice for the communities we serve, and integrating the Catholic and Franciscan intellectual traditions in programs, courses and services.
Leadership and Oversight
Provides clear direction and strategic planning for student success initiatives.
Student Success Management
Manages high‑quality, evidence‑based support services.
Supervision and Development
Fosters professional growth and maintains high standards of service.
Data‑Driven Decision Making
Utilizes robust data collection and analysis for program improvement.
Student Support Services
Implements individualized interventions for at‑risk students.
Communication and Collaboration
Facilitates effective communication and teamwork across campus.
Equity and Accessibility
Ensures programs are accessible and inclusive for all students.
Conducts evaluations and institutionalizes effective practices for long‑term success.
Other Duties as Assigned
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing student support or student life programs in higher education.
Demonstrated expertise in retention strategies, academic coaching, tutoring, or mentoring.
Experience with data‑driven program evaluation and reporting.
EDUCATION
Master’s Degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Student Affairs, or a related field.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
