Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Position Summary

- Schedules, selects, and trains on-air talent; coordinates the volunteer music-host schedule and ensures adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Plans, assigns, and oversees the work of volunteer personnel engaged in music programing.
- Supervises and trains department personnel, including students, interns, and volunteers; provides mentorship and developmental feedback to music hosts.
- Participates in on-air fundraising activities and related training and preparation.
- Directs and monitors the selection of on-air music; ensures on-air talent have access to new and relevant material.
- Maintains and secures the music library; establishes and administers music cataloging systems, reference files, and library software tracking system.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with national and international recording labels to ensure timely delivery of new and relevant music for programming consideration.
- Oversees intake, cataloging, and internal distribution of recorded materials received by the station.
- Ensures compliance with on-air and online music reporting requirements.
- Cultivates the department's presence online and through social media; leverages existing and emerging platforms to promote music programming and increase audience engagement.
- Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, and planning.
- Participates in the development of annual operating budgets and provides fiscal direction to the unit.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
